How many women have prayed for a way out, only to feel unsure if their voice would be heard or understood? The church is meant to be a place of refuge—a sanctuary for healing and restoration. But how can we ensure it becomes the haven that women and girls truly need? How do we show them that help and healing are within reach?

📖1 in 3 women experience violence, many of them llook to their faith communities for support, yet they’re often met with silence or uncertainty. This event is not just a conversation—it’s a space for reflection, learning, and action.

Our panel of experts will continue to:

✨ Reflect on biblical teachings that show how Jesus elevated and cherished women.

⚡️Explore spiritual cohesive control

✨ Explore how we can create safe spaces in our churches and communities. ✨ Discuss the difference between spiritual and psychological support for survivors. ✨ Provide practical tools and resources to help women heal and move forward.

On the panel we have:

Rev Marcia Townsend senior pastor of Junction Community Church NTA in south London. She is a qualified Psychodynamic Counsellor, registered with BACP. She also has a degree in Ministerial Theology. She counsels individuals, couples, families and groups, addressing a wide range of issues. In her current job role as an NHS Mental health Chaplain, Marcia provides spiritual and pastoral care. she is passionate about the community and believes that improving the Mental Health and wellbeing of individuals is key to a strong community. Marcia is the co-founder, along with Dorothy Dwyer, of the well-received Living Loss CIC
