Amplifying The Voices Of Young Women And Girls

Vision
We amplify the voices of young women and girls. We challenge injustice and create lasting, transformative change. Our work centres on those often excluded from mainstream services.
Mission
At Skye Alexandra House, we firmly believe that healing is a fundamental right for every survivor, not a privilege. So our mission is to:
✔ Provide holistic, trauma-informed support that empowers young women and girls to reclaim their lives after experiencing sexual violence.
✔ Advocate for services that meet the unique needs of ethnically diverse survivors and challenge systemic inequalities.
✔ Offer long-term, survivor-led support through education, advocacy and empowerment initiatives.
We work to address trauma directly. At the same time, we focus on dismantling the systems that allow violence and oppression to continue.

What We Do
At Skye Alexandra House, we offer a safe and healing space for all young women and girls affected by sexual violence and exploitation.
We are particularly committed to providing tailored, culturally sensitive support for ethnically diverse young women and girls. These survivors often face unique challenges that go unnoticed in many services.
Cultural stigma, racial bias, and systemic injustice are just a few of the extra barriers they may encounter. Therefore, we tailor our services to meet these realities. In this way, we ensure their voices are heard and their experiences recognised.
Our approach is rooted in intersectionality. We recognise how race, gender, class, immigration status, and other identities shape each survivor’s journey. Because of this, we don’t offer one-size-fits-all support—we meet survivors where they are and walk beside them.
Our Impact
At Skye Alexandra House, we envision a future where the voices of survivors are heard, respected and empowered. Together, we strive to build a world free from sexual violence, where healing, growth and solidarity are paramount.
